The better choices that I have decided to make during 2012 are definitely bringing about better moments on the scales each week.
Soooooo, goodbye 2011!!
Hellooooooooooooo 2012!!!!!
I have been making much better food choices these past several weeks. This is good news.
I have been to the Y for water aerobics 2 or 3 times each week so far in 2012. This is good news.
I have had losses the last two weeks on the scales. This is good news.
I like good news!!!!!
I saw this statement today on a friend’s Facebook status update: Temptation is both external opportunity and internal desire.
Temptation is definitely an internal desire for something that most of the time is not the most beneficial thing for me to do. Sometimes that temptation comes in the form of food, sometimes purchases of another pocketbook or tote bag.
Temptation is definitely an external opportunity to make a wise or healthy choice. If the temptation is food related, then I have the opportunity to make a healthy choice. Sometimes that mean avoiding the temptation completely; sometimes it means making a healthy choice verses a non-healthy choice.
An update on my struggle with milkshakes. I have had some success in making good choices these last several weeks where milkshakes are concerned. This is very good news!!!
I have been asking the Lord to “blind” me to my favorite drive-thru places to get milkshakes and that has been working. If I forget to pray and see one of those places, I tell myself that I will get one “next time” I pass by, but not today.
Those two choices have enabled me to avoid the pitfall of the “shakes.” This is a good thing.
I am determined to make better choices daily so that with each passing day, I will be one step closer to a healthier more active life.
THIS is good news!!!
It feels good to be getting back on track!!!
Hupomeno Defined: Greek, verb -- meno, "to abide," is rendered "to endure" in the KJV of John 6:27 and 1 Pet. 1:25 (RV, "abideth"); Heb. 10:34, KJV, "enduring (substance)," RV, "abiding."; hupomeno, a strengthened form of meno, denotes "to abide under, to bear up courageously" (under suffering), Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13; Rom. 12:12, translated "patient"; 1 Cor. 13:7; 2 Tim. 2:10,12 (KJV, "suffer"); Heb. 10:32; 12:2-3,7; Jas. 1:12; 5:11; 1 Pet. 2:20, "ye shall take it patiently." For me personally, it means when going through trials and tribulations, I choose to bear up courageously under the watchful, loving care of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
