Hupomeno Defined: Greek, verb -- meno, "to abide," is rendered "to endure" in the KJV of John 6:27 and 1 Pet. 1:25 (RV, "abideth"); Heb. 10:34, KJV, "enduring (substance)," RV, "abiding."; hupomeno, a strengthened form of meno, denotes "to abide under, to bear up courageously" (under suffering), Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13; Rom. 12:12, translated "patient"; 1 Cor. 13:7; 2 Tim. 2:10,12 (KJV, "suffer"); Heb. 10:32; 12:2-3,7; Jas. 1:12; 5:11; 1 Pet. 2:20, "ye shall take it patiently." For me personally, it means when going through trials and tribulations, I choose to bear up courageously under the watchful, loving care of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Easily discouraged........

I can get easily discouraged because of a .6 weight loss this week, but when I get beyond my ranting and raving and quitting and crying and pouting and giving up and, finally, step back and look at the big picture…………I’ve lost 6.8 the last three weeks. That’s an acceptable, actually preferred, rate of loss according to WW®. They advertise that their program is designed for you to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Obviously, we ALL want to lose it faster. But it is important to remember the story of the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race.

I also took my measurements on Saturday. Since April 20th, I’ve lost an additional 10.5 inches on 13 places on my body. That give a new total inches of 27.5 inches lost since January 20th. That’s over two feet of less space that my body now needs. That’s pretty stinking good!!!

This week, I would NOT have given you a penny for my thoughts. I would have gladly sold them to you, however, for a penny. Oh well.................because of some stuff going on in my life and in my head, I lost my focus this week and I ate lazy points. Lazy points doesn’t mean that I did the fast-food run (which would include burgers, fries and shakes), binged or anything like that. It just means that I did not follow the daily health guidelines outlined by WW which includes at least 5 fruits and vegetables, two servings milk, two oils, lean protein daily, at least one serving of whole grains, and at least 6 glasses of water. And I know that I HAVE to follow those guidelines, especially the whole grains, to lose.

Yet again, I find myself at a crossroad in my journey. I have a choice to make. Do I choose to continue eating "lazy" points or do I choose to buckle down and get right back on track with the daily healthy guidelines? The choice is mine and it is an easy choice. I am making the choice to get right back on track and do this thing!!! The choice is truly mine to success or fail. Why fail when I can choose to succeed? I choose success = I choose tracking those daily healthy guidelines!!!! Yet again, I like those choices!!
