Hupomeno Defined: Greek, verb -- meno, "to abide," is rendered "to endure" in the KJV of John 6:27 and 1 Pet. 1:25 (RV, "abideth"); Heb. 10:34, KJV, "enduring (substance)," RV, "abiding."; hupomeno, a strengthened form of meno, denotes "to abide under, to bear up courageously" (under suffering), Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13; Rom. 12:12, translated "patient"; 1 Cor. 13:7; 2 Tim. 2:10,12 (KJV, "suffer"); Heb. 10:32; 12:2-3,7; Jas. 1:12; 5:11; 1 Pet. 2:20, "ye shall take it patiently." For me personally, it means when going through trials and tribulations, I choose to bear up courageously under the watchful, loving care of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Fast Forward to February 13, 2010......

Continuing to fill you in on my journey.......

The day is February 13, 2010, and there is snow on the ground. It is beautiful!! However, here in the South, we're not used to snow. Sometimes it only takes a few flakes to pretty much shut us down and keep us "homebound." Well, not today!!! I WILL NOT BE DENIED WEIGHING IN TODAY!!!! And, thankfully, it was only snow on the ground--no initial layer of ice below it or ice mixed in with it. Just snow and it was beautiful!!!

So, I got up and brushed snow off my van and headed to WW. Roads were not a problem. Still some snow and water on them, but good, clear ruts to stay in. Main road and interstate was completely clear. Actually, it was quite beautiful driving to WW this morning.

I LOST 5.6 POUNDS!!!! YIPPIEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I felt it was going to be a good week—after all, I’m doing everything right with my eating and exercise!! That’s a total of 23.8 pounds. That’s another 5 pound star, plus reached my first goal of 5%. Now, on to my 10% goal.

CHOICE -- I made the choice that I would NOT allow the weather to keep me from WW class this morning. I was a good choice because of the good choices I had been making throughout the week. The choice is mine!!
